MAX’s Red Envelope Giveaway was designed to celebrate the auspicious Lunar New Year festival and create a sense of celebration and community within our venues. The promotion ran from 8 – 21 February 2021 and aimed to surprise and delight customers by giving them the opportunity to win cash or bonus loyalty points, with prizes based on the number 8, the Chinese number of luck.
The promotion created a fun and exciting atmosphere as winners opened their chosen envelope from the large in-venue display to reveal the winning prize. A total of 1,232 winners were drawn throughout the campaign period, ensuring the celebrations continue long into the Chinese New Year.
With over 15,000 patrons from across 45+ venues in Victoria and New South Wales entering the promotion resulting in an increase of +35%* in head count, and +7%^ return on investment, the campaign was a success on many levels.
